Week 26
Language Arts: We will
learn about and practice writing J words, sing songs, read Dr. Seuss books, we
have invited special guest readers to come read Dr. Seuss books to us, make
Seuss hats and bow ties, practice spelling our new sight words (my, all, am),
write upper and lower case letters, write in our journals, work with the letter
J and its sound and words that begin with J, and our literacy center rotations,
and more!!
Math: This
week we will continue chapter 8 about greater numbers. We are writing the
numbers. We are learning about base 10 and then adding from there. This week we
have some special Dr. Seuss counting and graphing planned as well. We will also
count by 1s, 5s, and 10s to 100 daily.
Bible: This
week’s Bible story is called “Jesus Chooses Helpers.” We will read Bible
stories, sing songs, recite, discuss,
and illustrate Psalm 100:3a, and pray together every day.
Science, Social Studies,
Art, and Misc: This month’s themes are Dr. Seuss, St. Patrick’s Day, and
Spring. We will also learn about plants and farm animals on our field trip to
Wilder Ranch. We will continue to do our team jobs, attend art class, music
class, library, computer lab, and PE, explore the classroom during choice time,
and more!!!
Sharing: We
have a sharing time every Friday during our afternoon meeting.
