We just finished our first day of school!
It was amazing!
We started the day with the whole school assembly lead by Mrs Imel and then straight into our new classroom to get to know one another!
We had a time of writing about exciting things, we did a can you guess Miss Rickabaugh's favorites or things about her activity, and played a game where the students wrote one wacky fact on a paper and I guessed who may have written that fact.
The students got to experience our new "play first eat second" at lunch time and it went great. We have new table assignments and the 4th graders like their table!
I love to read and it look like our class does too! We spent some time reading this afternoon and that lead us into an art time where the students are drawing a self portrait that will go with our poetry that we will be doing tomorrow.
We ended the day with wishing Samantha a happy birthday!
It was great and I am looking forward to this year and more days like today!
