Week 7! WOW we just had our 30th day of school today!

7^th Weekly Update: October 6-10

Language Arts:

We will be focusing on the letter Tt this week. We will be learning the sound, words that begin the letter, how to write the letter and so much more. Our sight words this week are go, and not. We will spell them, talk about them, use them in our writing, reading, and get more and more familiar with those words.

Math:

We will be learning patterns. We will build patterns, identify patterns, finish patterns and so much more as we dive into chapter 2.

Bible:

We will be studying Tower of Babel. Our weekly memory verse is Psalms 127:3a.  “Children are a gift from the Lord.”

Social Studies/ Science:

We will be learning “families change” and “learning about friends” The students will be talking about who makes up their “world”. In science we will be learning the parts of the body. We will be looking at the way people grow and change and how people are alike and different. We have been talking about fall and the season changing as well as using our five senses to discover everything around us.

Upcoming Important Dates:

Monday October 6, 2014- Chapel hosted by Miss Robrecht’s first grade class. Please join us 2:25-3pm in Monschke Hall.

Thursday October 9^th- we will be having a special visit from Central Fire as it is FIRE SAFETY WEEK.

Friday October 17^th- NO SCHOOL. NO crosswalk. Teacher in-service day.

Monday October 20^th- Chapel hosted by Mrs. LoBue’s first grade class. Please join us at 2:25-3pm in Monschke Hall.
