We’re Going to Sacramento!

We’re Going to Sacramento!

Dear 4th Grade Families,

The fourth graders will be going to Sacramento on Wednesday, May 10th (agenda attached).  We will be leaving school very early (6:45am) and returning late (8:00pm).  During the day we will be visiting the California State Capitol Building, Sutter's Fort, and the Railroad Museum.  We will be renting a large bus with a professional driver to take both classes and 10 chaperones for the day.

Each year the fourth graders organize a fundraiser to help offset the cost of the trip, which usually takes place after the field trip.  We estimate that each child and chaperone who attends the field trip will need to put in $80/each (this includes dinner) to cover the remainder.  If this cost is at all an issue, please talk to your child’s teacher.  We want to ensure this trip is doable for all of our families.

We will be sending home a permission slip soon.  Please take a moment to fill it and and return it to your child's teacher by Friday, April 28th.  If you would like to join us, please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible as we will be limited to 10 parents.  It promises to be a lot of fun!

Thanks,

Elisabeth Kantorik and Jennifer Rickabaugh
