Wow, here we go! It's the last week before Christmas Break!
Miss Rickabaugh's 4th grade Spirit Week:
Monday: Mentor Day
Tuesday: Pajamas (closed toes shoes please!)
Wednesday: Christmas Hat Day
Thursday: Red or Green clothing
Friday: Christmas Festive
Monday was a blur! We accomplished a lot but also dug into some
great topics. We discussed mentors; why do we need them, who are they, and were
inspired by others. We talked about light and dark and how we celebrate God as
the light that came into our world.
Tuesday through Friday: We are going to be reading a great story: “Me
and Uncle Romie” and our book club “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. We will
be doing holiday spelling all week as well as focusing on grammar. Math is
wrapping up chapter 6 with using data to find the average. It is hard but they
can do it! The students will take the Chapter 6 TEST this Thursday. Review will
be coming home on Wednesday. We will be talking about Christ’s birth this week
in Bible and enjoying our memory verse: John 1:9. Science is wrapping up on
insulators and conductors. Social Studies this week primarily about serving our
community; Field trip on Wednesday to Sunshine Villa, and buddies, as well as a
special project for their peers.
