Things coming up!

Hello to all,

Thanks so much for all of your hard work on the 100th day posters, they look AMAZING! I can't wait for all of you to see them. 100th Day of Kindergarten on Wednesday Feb 3rd. We will be having fun centers 8:30-9:30 and a class party at 2-3pm. Your student will be doing a presentation of their poster also during the day on Wednesday. They are very excited to share as are we all to see!

I will have all of the posters hanging in the classroom and up for Open House! Open House is on Feb 25th 7-8pm. This is a family event! You won't want to miss it. Put it on your calendars! It is a great time to check out first grade and meet those teachers! 

The Start of School: I just wanted to remind all of us that school starts at 8:30 so I am out at line picking up the students and taking them into the clasrrom at 8:25. I have noticed that our line is a little small getting to school and we have already begun our centers as students are still coming into the room. I would love to have everyone here by that 8:25 so we can come in, get settled, start class with our greeting time and then move into center time. Thanks so much. 

Thanks again to all the parents that are signing up to be at centers and to help out at the class parties (bringing things as well as being present). Your students love having you here and being a part of it! :) Sally Harn is doing a great job of being class mom and she is working hard on getting started on our Auction project. If you are able to help her out with that please email her! It is going to be adorable. I am going to be bidding on it! 

Valentine's Day is coming up. I wanted to drop a note to you regarding the holiday. The request is that each student bring enough Valentines to share one for each of the students in the class, as to not leave anyone out. You are more than welcome to write the students names on the Valetines or to just make the valentines with "from your student" and leave the "to" part blank. Your student will be the one who will be handing out the Valetines! Class list: Addie, Madison, Maryjane, Brandon, Logan, Katherine, Izzy, Bianca, Rylie, Gianna, Gabi, Kirra, Jack, Jackson, Brody, Carmella, Luke, Emily, Ethan, Lorelei, Soren, Cody and Jayden (Mrs Faulk and Miss Rickabaugh)

We will be making Valentine mailboxes in class so please bring in a shoe box so your student can make their mailbox, we will be needing the shoebox a week from today (Monday Feb 8). Also if you have an extra we would love them because we also use shoeboxes to capture Leprechauns next month ;) 

We will be celebrating our Valentine day party on Friday Feb 12th.

We are going to CYT Little Mermaid Play on Feb 19th. We have Dustti, Renee and Tracy as our parent helpers! We still have room for one more parent! Let me know. I am still waiting for the last two permission slips to come in! 

We are in the middle of planning our field trip to the Dentist, we have our trip to Wilder Ranch on March 24th and our trip to the Seymour Center coming on March 12th. Those permission slips will be coming out soon! 

Your student made a prediction today with Mrs Faulk to see if the groundhog sees his showdow tomorrow morning. So hopefully their prediction was right?! Happy Groundhog day to all of you!

Home and School club is tonight (Monday Feb1st.) They would love for you to join them. They will be meeting in the auditorium video cry room at 6:30pm. We will be talking about the upcoming Sneak Peek and the Online Auction in March. Hope to see you there

Next Monday is chapel being lead by Mrs Rau's class. You are always welcome at chapel 2:25-3 every other Monday.
