Thanksgiving Feast Sign up and introducing our Room Parent

Hello all,
I would love to introduce you to Alissa Ingram. She is Dominik’s step mom. She has volunteered to be our room parent! She is not able to be in our classroom because of work but she would love to take on the jobs of helping out with organization of class parties and communicating with you all as the other parents of the class. I also know that she is in communication with Paula Canales, Jack Perry’s mom to work together as room parents. Some of the amazing jobs these ladies will be taking on this year are:

First and Foremost:
1. Love the students
2. Support the teacher

Room parent jobs can include:
1. Helping with book orders
2. Organizing class parties
    a. create a sign-up sheet to bring in food items and volunteer spots
    b. create/ organize games
    c. create/ organize crafts
3. Help teacher by coming to class to file or help with special projects
4. Send out emails to the other parents informing them how to get involved in school wide activities
5. Go to Home and School Club meetings (Jen Willoughby, Claire’s mom)
6. Send out emails to parents to have them contribute items for the classroom/ or special project (or we always need erasers!)
7. An above and beyond project- to be determined by the room parent (ie. An art project, teacher appreciation week, open house, science experiment, end of school year project, etc.)

Miss Rickabaugh will be helping with any or all of these things. The job of the room parent, Alissa and Paula, is to be another individual supporting the students and communicating between the teacher and the other parents, which is all of you!

Thanks so much for Alissa and Paula volunteering. We, I, really appreciate it!
The first major job is to help out with the Thanksgiving Feast party that is coming FAST! It is this Friday!
