May 23-27th
Social Studies/ Community: This week will be
focusing on Santa Cruz community.
Science: We will be working with grouping
objects.
Language Arts: We are continuing to review all
of the sounds, letter formation, letter sizing and using our letter and letter
sounds to do inventive writing. We are working on word families.
Our sight words this week are good, will, and
they. Remember that sight words are words that the student’s must see and know.
They do not follow normal patterns (ie. sounding them out).
Bible: We are learning about Paul spreads the
gospel. We are focusing on Acts 16:31a. We will be singing songs, reading the
Bible, doing daily devotions and praying as well as working in our workbooks.
Math: We will be working on our cumulative
review.
Dates to remember:
Friday, May 27th: Jog-A-Thon!
Friday, May 27- Half Day. Dismissal at noon.
Crosswalk open till 6pm.
Monday, May 30th: No School. Memorial
Day
Wednesday, June1st: In Class Talent Show
Thursday, June 2nd: Class Party 2-3pm
Friday, June 3rd: Graduation and Last
day of School. (more information to come.)
