Weekly News

Week 6:

Social Studies/ Community: This week will be focusing on symbols.

Science: We will be looking at the how people are alike and different.

Language Arts: We will be focusing on the letter P. We will be learning how to write it with capital and lowercase within our writing lines. We will be discovering words that start with the letter P, or have the sounds at the end or middle. We will be making a pig craft too.

Our sight words this week are see & two. We have learned I, big, can, in, we, it, like, up, a, & find. Our list is quickly growing. Remember that sight words are words that the student’s must see and know. They do not follow normal patterns (ie. sounding them out).

Bible: We are learning about Noah and focusing on Romans 3:23. We will be singing songs, reading the Bible, doing daily devotions and praying as well as working in our workbooks.

Math: We have been learning about our math patterns and how to use them and create them. We will be using our pattern block a lot this week to get a feel on how to create as well as identify the patterns.
