1st-5thgrade TLCS students participate in the ACSI Speech Meet annually. Every child selects a verse, poem, or short fable to memorize. Then, students in each class are judged and selected for the school-wide competition. Winners from that competition move on to the county-wide Speech Meet at Baymonte in Scotts Valley.
Each year,
we have a non-competitive Kindergarten Speech Meet as well.
Kindergarten Speech Meet on April 22nd at 8:30am in
the TLC Auditorium.
All
parents and family members are invited to attend. In your child's folder you
will that your child has selected a verse from this list or poem he or she is
interested in memorizing. Please help your student practice at home.
*I have sent home an email with the verse or poem your student selected and I will also be putting in their homework folder tomorrow.
