Birthdays

Birthdays

Parents and Guardians,

I know you are wondering what we do for class birthdays! You can bring in a special treat to share! We DO have food allergies- one pinenuts and one student who is gluten free. If you want to spoil the teachers both Miss Rickabaugh and Mrs. Goodman are gluten free as well. Please write me a note or talk to me about when you plan to bring in the treats (example: birthday on Saturday so bring it in on Friday) or have any other questions.

At second snack break (typically 2pm) we will have a special birthday circle where we talk to the birthday student. They tell us about them, their birthday, gifts, favorite cake, etc. Then we will take the special treat outside to our tables, eat the treat and then run off all that sugar! Parents of the birthday student are welcome to come for that quick birthday circle and to share the treats with us.

When it comes to birthday invitations for inviting students to your personal party we ask that you bring one for each student in the class and we will put them into the student’s homework folders to be opened at home. See the school parent handbook for more information on this.

Looking forward to celebrating birthdays this year!

Miss Rickabaugh

Ps. If you are a summer birthday do not worry we have a special last week of school summer birthday circle just for you!
