We will be continuing to write numbers, spelling the words for the number, counting out things to add up the number, comparison and ordering. We will also count by 1s, 5s, and10s (to 100) daily.
Bible: This week we will continue learning about Isreal in the desert. We will read the Bible, recite Phil 4:13, and pray together every day.
Science, Social Studies, Art, and Misc: This month’s themes are Christmas, traditions, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. We will be finishing our units on animals and five senses. We will also do our team jobs, attend art class, music class, library, computer lab, and PE, explore the classroom during choice time, and more!!!
Continually working on:
Sight word practice: I, big, we, can, in, it, like, up, a, find, see, two, not, go, to, red, have, name, is, make, play, too, are, run, for, and blue.
Ten minutes (or more!) of reading every night with a parent, guardian, grandparent or older sibling, etc. Sight words are fun to read together, too. Reading together every night is VERY important. Let’s work together to develop a love of books and reading in our children!
Thank you for checking your child’s homework folder every night and making sure it gets back to school every day. Please remember to keep the papers in the right-hand pocket at home.
